epidural injections

so the dr has decided at this point that we are going to put me haveing back surgery off for a while and try everything else possible first before i go for my seond opinion with a neurosurgeon. so today i had an appointment at the hospital to get epidural injections directly into my spine to see if that helps out alevating my back pain. it was extremely painful and with two huge needles being put into my spine. the first one was the anastectic and then the second one was the actual epidural injections. hopefully this will help out a lot with my pain. right now i don't feel a diffrence in it helping right now i feel a lot of excruciating pain but they said thats normal and that i should be feeling better by wednesday. i sure hope so but if the injections dont work like they are supposed to then when i go back to my dr we will be trying another solution to see if that helps i have no clue what the other solution will be yet im hopeing this works so that we dont have to come up with another solution.on a different note i hope you all had a wonderful easter. jason and i sure did we went over to my parents house for breakfast with my siblings and there families then afterwards the kids did an easter egg hunt and then after they were done the adults had an easter egg hunt it was a lot of fun and jason and i had a good time and enjoying the good company of my side of the family.

neurosurgeon

so the 16th of this month I will be going to a neurosurgeon for my back this will be my first appointment and I will be at u of u hospital in utah. They will give me all my options as far as what type of surgery i can get done and all the statistics of the surgery and what the recovery time will be for me to heal so wish me luck.

jason and i would like to wish everyone a very merry christmas. this is time to remember our saviour and his birth and the real reason of what christmas is. we hope all of you enjoy this great time of year with loved ones and friends. from my side of the family everyone was there minus my sister brandi and her family, brian and danna and my nephew cole, jenn and ben's family but they will be here tomorrow yeah!, and dirk and jessica but we to will see them tomorrow as well. we would also like to wish a happy birthday to christopher and savanna there birthdays are on the 30th of this month. today we will be seeing a lot of jasons family who live here in elko. we hope all of you a great rest of the year and a happy new year to come as well. it's time to do some new year resolutions i haven't thought of mine yet but i will soon. love to you all. and again have a merry christmas.

what a wonderful week

well this week so far has been great. my brother n law joey is here with jason and i for the week and we are so happy to have his company here spending time with us for the week. he is such a good brother n law and i think he enjoys being up here to relax with us and catching up on old times as well. also we have about a foot of snow here in elko there might be more but man i can tell you one thing it will definately be a white christmas this year which is fine with us. im so glad i dont have to drive in it though its pretty to look out my window and see the snow on the ground but man oh man i can drive in it i just dont like to drive in it. for those of you who have snow where you live enjoy it but at the same time make sure you bundle up and stay warm. i think the lowest it's gotten so far is -17 degrees outside and i'll tell you what that is some cold weather brrrr!on a diffrent note my brother jon and his wife brittney have been staying here in elko for the last few months and they go home tomorrow im sad because they wont be here for christmas and i wont see them for a while due to they are going back home and going back to school starting sometime in january hopefully they will come down soon after school starts but well see. well to one and all have a great week.

Happy Thanks giving!

Well today being Thanksgiving jason and I decided to write a quick blog wishing everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving. If you should be traveling for this wonderful holiday make sure to travel in safely. Today is a day to remember everything that we are thankful for and also for everything that we should be thankful for. One thing that Jason and I are thankful for is to be married to each other and for the wonderful families we both have.

thanksgiving week

well today i had time to write jason and mine first blog entry. I have been really busy these last few weeks. On a full time basis i take care of my brother eric's children ages 2 and 3 they are such good kids. But lately i've been helping out my other brother christopher with his two children as well ages 4 months and 2 years old. I have to say i love helping out people in general it makes me feel really good especially when its family i am helping out. as for jason he has been really busy working full time at a comnpany called delta rubber hes been there now for four months and he loves his job. A lot of you know that i have severe back problems i got my mri done in july and i got the results in july as well. I have degenerative disc disease which means the disc in my back descentigrate and get eaten to where there are no disc in my back. I also have osteoperosis, arthritis, spinosis, and sciatica. I have no choice but to have back surgery right now my surgery will be getting 7 disc replaced and 14 bone spurs taken off my spine this is one of many surgerys that will be taken place on my back. eventually every disc in my back will have to be replaced due to the diesase that i have. As far as thanksgiving goes we will be spending it with jasons family here in elko. I am so happy that jason has family here in elko that care and love both of us and i know jason is greatful for that as well. It looks as though jason will be getting his insurance real soon and when he does we will be looking around in utah,boise, and reno for a neuro surgeon who will do my back surgery. recovery time is 6months to a year. I know that i will be greatful as soon as the first surgery is done and over with. After i get my surgery i will be needing a lot of help until i can do things for myself as most of you know i have always been an independent person doing everything for myself but now i have to step down and let jason take care of me for awhile and he will be good at doing it hes a great husband and he loves me and i know he would do anything for me so im not worried one bit. well until next time i hope you all and your familys have a wonderful thanksgiving!
